The ufo of Terranova
The story is always the same.
Every time an unidentified flying object is sighted there is always someone ready to ridicule the author.
These people who call themselves skeptical, in reality do not strive to carry out personal research, but trust, in short, they take for good what others tell them.
Of course, for these others, we mean all those who are part of the so-called official circuit, people with the truth in their hands that they simply have to believe.
As they say in these cases, if they say “them” it will be true.
But every now and then this well-established system, fortunately jams up and everything turns into a beautiful pate to be peeled.
But let’s get to the facts.
Many have often heard of the Project Blue Book, but for those who have never heard of it, we explain that it was a project that dealt with classifying the various sightings of unidentified flying objects, and it is not clear which route it was, it confirmed or belied the truth.
Well, let’s say that there were only denials, or very vague cases, because the most important information was reserved and made available to some special department.
In short, everything was normal and it would always have been if something unexpected had not happened in the 50s.
This story was reported at the Citizen Hearing on Discloosure congress, held in Washington and organized by major UFO associations.
Special speaker at that congress was Richard French, a former Lieutenant Colonel of the US Air Force and ironically, a former employee just like one of the Project Blue Book managers.
The story of the former lieutenant colonel at the congress, I go down in history as Terranova’s UFO incident, one of the most valid cases of ufology.
His story begins like this.
They called me and told me they had a UFO report they wanted me to investigate.
They told me that the UFO had been seen under the surface of the sea.
When we arrived there were many people on the platform who watched the surface in amazement, including several local policemen.
I remember that the water was very clear and that you could see two circular aircraft, each of them about 18 meters in diameter and about 3 meters thick. The two who were not then 20 meters from the shore floated below the surface of the water a couple of meters from each other.
The first thing I saw was the UFOs. It was obvious that they were engaged in some activity, but I was unable to say which one. The two disks were not on the bottom, but at about half height from the surface.
Then I saw the two beings immersed in water, they were about 2 or maybe 3 meters tall, light gray, very thin, with long arms with two or maybe three fingers. The upper part of the head was very wide compared to the jaw line and the eyes were very inclined.
At one point, one of the two ships began to emerge from the sea.
Once out of the surface, the aircraft traveled about 150 miles per hour. Then, after a few moments, it began to move at an extraordinary speed of 2,500 / 3,000 miles per hour, until it disappeared on the horizon. The aircraft, I go back about 20 minutes later, slowing down to stop, and then back into the water.
After another 20 minutes the two ships moved together, once again slowly began to exit the sea, suddenly accelerating once they reached the upper atmosphere until they disappeared.
I think they were doing repairs, with testing to see if everything went well.
In short, that day Richard French finally admitted that those he observed were without a shadow of doubt of the UFOs.
This is his story, which predictably created a major embarrassment to official sources.
He himself, who in the Project Blue Book had the task of denying the UFO sighting cases found himself being an eyewitness.
It should be noted, however, that this story took place about 60 years after the event and that as he himself admitted, at the time he was forced to present an informative in which he merely described those ships, as something that simply, given the conditions, he had not been able to recognize, admitting that his task at the time was to dispel that story and that he did so.
This story, however, can help to make some clarity on how many secrets and omissions can be perpetrated, probably in the name, perhaps, of absolute control over people’s thinking.

La storia è sempre la stessa.
Ogni volta che viene avvistato un oggetto volante non identificato vi è sempre qualcuno pronto a ridicolizzarne l’autore.
Queste persone che si definiscono scettiche, in realtà non si sforzano di effettuare ricerche personali, ma si fidano, insomma prendono per buono quello che altri gli raccontano.
Naturalmente, per questi altri, si intendono tutti quelli che fanno parte del così detto circuito ufficiale, persone con la verità in mano a cui si deve credere e basta.
Come si dice in questi casi, se lo dicono “loro” sarà vero.
Ma ogni tanto questo sistema ben rodato, fortunatamente si inceppa e il tutto si trasforma in una bella gatta da pelare.
Ma veniamo ai fatti.
Molti avranno sentito nominare spesso il Project Blue Book, per chi invece non lo ha mai sentito nominare, spieghiamo che era un progetto che si occupava di classificare i vari avvistamenti di oggetti volanti non identificati, ed attraverso non si sa bene quale iter, ne confermava o smentiva la veridicità.
Bene, diciamo che vi erano solo smentite, o casi molto vaghi, perché le informazioni più importanti venivano riservate e messe a disposizione di un qualche reparto speciale.
Tutto nella norma insomma e così sarebbe sempre stato se non fosse accaduto qualcosa di imprevisto negli anni 50.
Questa storia venne riportata al congresso Citizen Hearing on Discloosure, tenutosi a Washington ed organizzata dalle maggiori associazioni ufologiche.
Oratore speciale in quel congresso fu Richard French, ex tenente colonnello dell’Air Force statunitense ed ironia della sorte, ex impiegato proprio come uno dei responsabili del Project Blue Book.
Il racconto dell’ex tenente colonnello al congresso, passo alla storia come l’incidente ufo di Terranova, uno dei casi più validi dell’ufologia.
La sua storia comincia così.
Mi chiamarono dicendomi di avere un rapporto ufo su cui volevano che indagassi.
Mi dissero che l’ufo era stato visto sotto la superficie del mare.
Quando arrivammo sul posto c’erano numerose persone sulla banchina che guardavano con stupore la superficie, tra cui diversi poliziotti del posto.
Ricordo che l’acqua era molto chiara e che si potevano vedere due velivoli circolari, ognuno dei quali di circa 18 metri di diametro e di circa 3 metri di spessore. I due che si trovavano a non poi di 20 metri dalla riva galleggiavano sotto la superficie dell’acqua ad un paio di metri l’uno dall’altro.
La prima cosa che vidi furono gli ufo. Era evidente che fossero impegnati in qualche attività, ma non sono stato in grado di dire quale. I due dischi non si trovavano sul fondale, ma a circa a metà altezza dalla superficie.
Poi vidi i due esseri immersi in acqua, erano alti circa 2 o forse 3 metri, di colore grigio chiaro, molto sottili, con le braccia lunghe con due o forse tre dita. La parte superiore della testa era molto ampia rispetto alla linea della mascella e gli occhi molto inclinati.
Ad un certo punto, una delle due navi cominciò ad emergere dal mare.
Uscito dalla superficie, il velivolo viaggiava a circa 150 miglia orarie. Poi, dopo qualche istante, ha cominciato a muoversi alla velocità straordinaria di 2.500/3.000 miglia all’ora, fino scomparire all’orizzonte. Il velivolo, torno indietro circa 20 minuti più tardi, rallentando fino a fermarsi, per poi rientrare nell’acqua.
Dopo altri 20 minuti le due navi si mossero insieme, ancora una volta cominciarono lentamente ad uscire dal mare, accelerando di colpo una volta raggiunta l’alta atmosfera fino a scomparire.
Credo stessero eseguendo delle riparazioni, con relativo collaudo per capire se tutto andasse bene.
Insomma quel giorno Richard French ammise finalmente che quelli da lui osservati erano senza ombra di dubbi degli ufo.
Questo è il suo racconto, che come prevedibile creò un forte imbarazzo alle fonti ufficiali.
Proprio lui, che nel Project Blue Book aveva il compito di smentire i casi di avvistamento ufo si trovò ad esserne un testimone oculare.
Da notare però, che questo racconto avvenne a circa 60 anni dall’avvenimento e che come lui stesso ammise, all’epoca fu costretto a presentare un informativa in cui si limitò a descrivere quelle navi, come un qualcosa che semplicemente, viste le condizioni, non era stato di riconoscere, ammettendo che il suo compito all’epoca era di sfatare quella storia e che così fece.
Questa storia però, può aiutare a fare un po di chiarezza su quanti segreti ed omissioni si possano perpetrare, in nome probabilmente, chissà, forse, del controllo assoluto sul pensiero delle persone.
