Un evento inaspettato sta per sconvolgere la tranquillità di questa cittadina.

Dover, United States.
An unexpected event is about to disrupt the tranquility of this town 22:30 on March 21st, 1977 has just passed.
Bill Bartlett, Mike Mazzoccae and Andy Brodie, in a car, are driving through Farm Street, when suddenly a mysterious creature appears at the side of the road.
The three after passing it, however, decide to go back, at which point they realize that the mysterious creature is now gone.
When Bill Bartlett returned home, he went to his father to tell him what had happened.
He tells him that he saw a very small being but with huge head and eyes, very long and thin arms and legs.
The man listens to the story, but thinks that the child, given the darkness, could have seen a lost child.
He decides to go to the sheriff to bring back the facts.
But Bill still insists with both in his version and decides to draw the identity of that creature.
The sheriff, given the boy’s insistence, decides to summon even Bill’s friends who were with him in the car.
The latter questioned, however, will report not having seen anything.
As the story is about to be archived, the mysterious creature is sighted again.
This time it’s John Baxter that night, while he’s on his way back home, at Miller
Hill road, sees a small figure appear in front of him.
According to the story, after having noticed the boy, the strange being flees into the woods, but when it is far enough away, he turns and begins to stare at him.
John, who had remained there, will give a description corresponding to that released by Bill Bartlett.
A day passes and while I’m in the car, Will Taintor and his girlfriend Abby Brabhan, see a figure huddled on the edge of Springdale avenue.
She is still a small creature, with large head and eyes and long, thin limbs.
By now it was clear that something unknown was going on for Dover and many experts ventured into trying to figure out what it was.
From the descriptions of the witnesses, one of the hypotheses that mostly began to circulate, was that this creature could be an alien of the type known as gray.
Many ufologists convinced of this spent much time collecting evidence and testimonies in this regard.
Moreover it seems that these beings were not completely unknown. They would in fact already be mentioned in some legends handed down by the Cree and Mohican Indians, who called these small humanoid creatures Mannegishi.
It would not be the first time that ancient Indian tribes reported meetings with other beings.
Between April and September 1957, another 54 cases of sightings of that creature were recorded in the city.
The question that many people still ask is, what really happened in Dover in those years.

Sono passate da poco le 22:30 del 21 marzo del 1977.
Bill Bartlett , Mike Mazzoccae e Andy Brodie, a bordo di un auto, stanno percorrendo Farm Street, quando improvvisamente, al lato della strada, appare una creatura misteriosa.
I tre dopo averla sorpassata, decidono però di tornare indietro, a quel punto si rendono conto che la misteriosa creatura è ormai sparita.
Tornato a casa Bill Bartlett, si reca dal padre per raccontargli l’accaduto.
Gli riferisce di aver visto un essere molto piccolo ma con testa ed occhi enormi ,braccia e gambe molto lunghe e sottili.
L’uomo ascolta la storia, ma pensa che il figlio, dato il buio potrebbe invece avere avvistato un bambino smarrito.
Decide così di recarsi dallo sceriffo per riportargli i fatti.
Bill però insiste ancora con entrambi nella sua versione e decide di disegnare l’identichit di quella creatura.
Lo sceriffo vista l’insistenza del ragazzo, decide di convocare anche gli amici di Bill che erano con lui in auto.
Questi ultimi interrogati, riferiranno però di non aver visto nulla.
Mentre la storia sta per essere archiviata, la misteriosa creatura viene avvistata di nuovo.
Questa volta è John Baxter che la notte, mentre è sulla strada di ritorno verso casa, all’altezza di Miller
Hill road, vede una piccola figura apparirgli davanti.
Secondo il racconto, dopo essersi accorto del ragazzo, lo strano essere fugge nel bosco, quando però è abbastanza lontano, si gira ed inizia a fissarlo.
John che era rimasto sul posto ne darà una descrizione corrispondente a quella rilasciata da Bill Bartlett.
Passa un giorno e mentre sono in auto, Will Taintor e la sua ragazza Abby Brabhan, scorgono una figura rannicchiata sul bordo della Springdale avenue.
E’ ancora lei, una creatura di piccole dimensioni, con testa ed occhi grandi e arti lunghi e sottili.
Ormai era chiaro che qualcosa di sconosciuto si aggirasse per Dover e molti esperti vi si avventurarono nel tentativo di capire cosa fosse.
Dalle descrizioni dei testimoni, una delle ipotesi che maggiormente cominciò a circolare, fu che quella creatura potesse trattarsi di un alieno del tipo conosciuto come grigio.
Molti ufologi convinti di questo dedicarono molto tempo a raccogliere prove e testimonianze al riguardo.
Inoltre sembra che questi esseri non fossero del tutto sconosciuti. Verrebbero infatti citati già in alcune leggende tramandate dagli indiani Cree e Mohicani, che chiamavano queste piccole creature umanoidi Mannegishi.
Non sarebbe infatti la prima volta che antiche tribù indiane avrebbero riferito di incontri con altri esseri.
Tra aprile e settembre del 1957 si registrarono in città altri 54 casi di avvistamenti di quella creatura.
La domanda che ancora molti si pongono è, che cosa sia veramente accaduto a Dover in quegli anni.
