Listening to this story, we might think that their authors were inspired by the Viking Discovery on Mars in Cydonia in 1976.
In reality, however, this appeared on a comic strip published in September 1958.
The Face On Mars – By Jack Kirby and Al Williamson.
On an Earth expedition, departing towards the planet Mars, an international team of astronauts, led by the American Ben Fisher, discovers the enormous sculpture of a Martian face as big as a mountain. Fisher climbs on it, and through his hollow eyes, he plunges into it. What you find is a green countryside, illuminated by the sun, and fresh air in which lives a civilization of magnificent giants. Suddenly, they are attacked by aircraft similar to insects. Outraged, Fisher, sweeps away the potato-like invaders, offering him a taste of their medicine. Fisher remains baffled by so much destruction, but eventually manages to locate a hidden stronghold, in which some members of the giant Martian race had hidden themselves, thus managing to survive. The earthling sees one of them piloting a rocket to destroy the base of their enemies, an unknown planet somewhere between Mars and Jupiter. Suddenly, Fisher starts panting until he faints. He will wake up in the middle of a Martian desert, with an oxygen mask tied to his face, while his expedition companions hover over him. Fisher explains that the statue contains a visual story of a race’s heroic death, and the triumph of a surviving memory.
This is just a coincidence, or the authors had somehow come into possession of some information, which they decided to share in this way.
According to some, in fact, we were already on Mars in the late fifties.
The movie just shown was part of a documentary broadcast June 20, 1977, on the British Anglia TV, from the Science Report program.
The episode in question, which for some strange reason also turned out to be the last to be transmitted was called Alternative 3.
The full content of the latter episode, aired in 1977, was as follows.
Sir William Ballantine, radio astronomer at the Jodrell Bank Observatory, sends a video with the Top Secret content to the Science Report editor.
Its content was the decoding of a signal from the space that Ballantine himself had intercepted.
The latter thought he had finally found the proof of an extraterrestrial intelligent life, and instead found himself faced with something that shocked him.
The decoded message showed an audio-video track in which a landing was made on the surface of the planet Mars. Moreover, in the video we could hear the screams of happiness in the American and Russian languages.
Fearing for his safety, Ballantine decided to send the video to a newspaper editor and his friend Robert Mery. It was the latter, who later handed the film over to the Science Report program.
After this, however, and before the tape was transmitted, Ballantine was the victim of a mysterious road accident, which caused his death.
Case wants, that in that same period, U.S.A. And in the USSR, in a study on pollution, climate change and seismic phenomena, a study that aims to establish that from here, or since 1977, about 30 years later, on planet earth, we would have seen the beginning of yet another ice age, an era that would have upset our lives as we know it.
Alternative 3, was therefore a secret plan to colonize Mars to preserve the human race.
This plan consisted of three phases.
One involved the construction of a secret base on the hidden face of the Moon.
Another step was to select a circle of people, including U.S.A. And U.R.S.S. That would have formed the future Martian colony.
Among these, politicians, soldiers, astronauts, scientists and all the technical personnel necessary for the maintenance of the colony would be selected.
The last phase consisted of the bombing of the Martian surface, with nuclear weapons, a phase through which an atmosphere could have been restored to the red planet.
The video was the proof that the secret plan had been successful.
Now, as mentioned above, this was the last episode to go on the air, after which, the program was canceled.
And it is precisely at this moment that history takes a strange turn.
Yes, because, in the face of this decision, a chorus of protests arose, but at that point the authors came out, who, displacing everyone, announced that the cancellation of the program had already been decided for some time and that the one broadcast as a last episode, it was nothing more than a joke prepared for the occasion.
A joke, or rather what today is called a Mockumentary, in practice,
a fake documentary.
Still, this Mockumentary, strangely, appeared prophetic. Climate changes, increase in seismic phenomena and rising temperatures were predicted, all over the world, which today are regularly occurring.
Another coincidence, the plan to bomb Mars with nuclear weapons, to restore its atmosphere.
Yes, because, in a statement released this summer, by the patron of Tesla and Space X, Elon Mask, there would be the very idea of bombing the red planet with the atomic bomb, to restore its atmosphere.
Who knows maybe even this one will have heard of this mockumentary to which he decided to be inspired, but it must be underlined that even in this case, a possibility was foreseen in some way realizable.
In short, in the end, many people believe that this view was not a joke, but that on the contrary, it was an attempt to divulge to the world some truth, a truth that continues to keep us hidden.

Il terrestre vede uno di loro che pilota un razzo per distruggere la base dei loro nemici, un pianeta sconosciuto situato da qualche parte tra Marte e Giove. Improvvisamente, Fisher inizia ad ansimare fino con lo svenire. Si sveglierà nel mezzo di un deserto marziano, con una maschera di ossigeno legata sul viso, mentre i suoi compagni di spedizione si librano su di lui. Fisher spiega che la statua contiene una storia visiva della morte eroica di una razza, ed il trionfo di un ricordo sopravvissuto.
Si tratta solo di una coincidenza, oppure gli autori erano in qualche modo entrati in possesso di alcune informazioni, che decisero di condividere in questo modo.
Secondo alcuni infatti, eravamo già su Marte alla fine degli anni Cinquanta.
Il filmato appena mostrato, faceva parte di un documentario mandato in onda il 20 giugno del 1977, sulla britannica Anglia TV, dal programma Science Report.
La puntata in questione, che per qualche strano motivo, risultò anche essere l’ultima a venire trasmessa si intitolava Alternative 3.
Il contenuto integrale di quest’ultima puntata, andata in onda nel 1977, era il seguente.

Il messaggio decodificato mostrava una traccia audio-video in cui veniva effettuato un atterraggio sulla superficie del pianeta Marte. Nel video inoltre, si sentivano le urla di felicità in lingua americana e russa.
Temendo per la sua incolumità, Ballantine decise di inviare il video al redattore di un giornale e suo amico Robert Mery. Fu proprio quest’ultimo, che in seguito, consegnò il filmato alla redazione del programma Science Report.
Dopo questo però, e prima che il nastro venisse trasmesso, Ballantine, rimase vittima di un misterioso incidente stradale, che ne provocò la morte.
Caso vuole, che in quello stesso periodo, U.S.A. Ed U.R.S.S., fossero impegnate insieme, in uno studio sull’inquinamento, cambiamenti climatici e fenomeni sismici, uno studio che fini con lo stabilire, che da lì, ovvero dal 1977, a circa 30 anni di distanza, sul pianeta terra, si sarebbe visto l’inizio di una ennesima era glaciale, un era che avrebbe sconvolto la vita per come la conosciamo.
Alternative 3, era dunque un piano segreto per la colonizzare Marte atto a preservare la razza umana.
Questo piano consisteva in tre fasi.
Una, prevedeva la costruzione di una base segreta sulla faccia nascosta della Luna.
Un altra fase consisteva nel selezionare una cerchia di persone, tra U.S.A. Ed U.R.S.S. Che avrebbe formato la futura colonia marziana.
Tra questi, sarebbero stati selezionati : politici, militari, astronauti, scienziati e tutto il personale tecnico necessario al mantenimento della colonia.
L’ultima fase consisteva nel bombardamento della superficie marziana, con ordigni nucleari, fase attraverso la quale, si sarebbe potuta restituire un atmosfera, al pianeta rosso.
Il filmato visto, sarebbe stata la prova, che il piano segreto era andato a buon fine.
Ora, come detto in precedenza, questa fu l’ultima puntata ad andare in onda, dopo di che, il programma venne cancellato.
Ed è proprio in questo momento che la storia prende una strana piega.
Si, perché, di fronte a questa decisione si alzò un coro di proteste, ma a quel punto vennero fuori gli autori, che, spiazzando tutti, annunciarono che la cancellazione del programma, era già stata decisa da tempo e, che quella mandata in onda come ultima puntata, non fosse altro che uno scherzo preparato per l’occasione.
Uno scherzo, o meglio, quello che oggi viene definito un Mockumentary, in pratica, un finto documentario.
Eppure, questo Mockumentary, stranamente, apparve profetico. Vennero previsti, cambiamenti climatici, aumento dei fenomeni sismici ed aumento delle temperature, in tutto il mondo, che oggi, si stanno regolarmente verificando.
Altra coincidenza, il piano per bombardare Marte con ordigni nucleari, per ripristinarne l’atmosfera.
Si, perché, in una dichiarazione rilasciata questa estate, dal patron di Tesla e Space X, Elon Mask, vi sarebbe proprio l’idea di bombardare il pianeta rosso con l’atomica, per ripristinarne l’atmosfera.
Chissà magari anche quest’ultimo avrà sentito parlare di questo mockumentary a cui a deciso di ispirarsi, ma va comunque sottolineato che anche in questo caso, si è prevista una possibilità in qualche modo realizzabile.
Insomma, alla fine, sono in molti a credere, che quella vista, non si trattasse di una burla, ma che al contrario, fu un tentativo di divulgare al mondo una qualche verità,una verità che continuano a tenerci nascosta.
Certo ufficialmente, non siamo ancora in grado di portare un essere umano, fino su Marte…o forse no…
